Speaking to Abhinav Manohar after the post-match Dayal said he was super proud of his efforts. “It was a very big thing for me considering the background from which I come. I felt very proud of my family and myself. I was nervous, but controlled my emotions which I felt was good.”

Dayal also said he felt pretty confident after bagging the wicket of RR opener Devdutt Padikkal in the first over. The left-arm pacer further stated that he bowled tight lines and lengths and reaped rewards. Skipper Hardik Pandya also backed Dayal when RR batters went after him. Overall it was a sensational debut one where the youngster showed great resolve and character.

Although Rahul Tewatia and Harik Pandya have hogged the majority of the limelight with bat due to their finishing prowess, Abhinav Manohar is not far behind. The right-hand batter scored 43 off just 28 balls and formed a crucial 86 runs stand for the fourth wicket. His efforts helped GT post a huge score of 192, which in that just proved too much for RR.
