He struck 7 massive sixes including 4 consecutive biggies and one boundary during the power-packed show. He also returned with a couple of wickets to help England level the series 2-2. In addition, the stand-in-skipper leadership skills will also come as an advantage to England in the cash-rich T20 league.

“I went from not being able to hit the ball and then a couple of shots, you get the momentum and you keep going. It was nice to get a few overs in with the new ball and pick up a couple of wickets,” Moeen Ali said after his special performance.
He was retained for Rs 8 crore by CSK for IPL 2022 ahead of the mega auction after his terrific display in the last edition of IPL. He had scored 357 runs and taken 6 wickets last season.
Moeen Ali’s captaincy experience is likely to help CSK in the next cycle of IPL with MS Dhoni is likely to retire after the upcoming season. He can be named R Jadeja’s deputy.
