Big money arrival – The wicketkeeper-batsman was picked by SRH for Rs 1.5 Crore and was set to play a crucial role in the top-order. However with no update from SRH on the player’s availability, before the start of the team’s first match against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday, fans began questioning why he had not arrived for IPL. Glenn Phillips clarified ahead of SRH vs RR match that he was isolating in New Zealand after testing positive in the pre-travel test.
Statement – “For those who keep asking – I am stuck in NZ due to positive PCR travel test. I will be joining SRH as soon as I can,” Glenn Phillips said in an Instagram post.

Covid-19 delays arrival -With him testing negative now, he is expected to join the team after undergoing three days of quarantine in Mumbai. He is expected to be available for selection by the time Sunrisers play their next game against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, 4th April.
