IPL 2022: Good news coming for CSK, Deepak Chahar available from MID-APRIL as ‘no surgery required’ on injuryDeepak Chahar Injury Status? CSK had bought Deepak Chahar at whooping Rs 14 crore at the IPL Auction. But Chahar got injured during the West Indies series.
According to the official release by the BCCI, Chahar had suffered from a QUADRICEP TEAR. The injury requires a surgery in some cases and takes 8-12 weeks time for recovery.
But in Chahar’s case – no surgery would be required. It’s understood that the CSK pacer is likely to be fit to play by the middle of April.
Where is Deepak Chahar currently? He is currently undergoing an eight-week rehabilitation programme at the NCA in Bangalore.
CSK meanwhile has put in a request to BCCI to release Chahar from NCA and allow him to train under the IPL team’s physios.
CSK is already preparing themselves for the forthcoming season in Surat. The franchise wants pacer to join them in Surat so that can continuously monitor status of his recovery.
CSK start their IPL campaign against KKR on March 26.
