Pandya put up a solid performance in the finals. He score a gritty 34-run knock and scalped 3 important wickets to break the backbone of the Rajasthan lineup. Pandya had been plagued by injuries for quite a while and heading into the IPL 2022 campaign he had to undergo tests to declare himself fit for the competition.
Hardik Pandya was severely criticized for his poor performance in the ICC T20 World Cup last year. Pandya was subsequently not retained by the Mumbai Indians and quickly made his shift to debutant side Gujarat Titans. And the star-allrounder showcased his faith by putting up stellar performances in the IPL.
Ian Bishop credited Pandya for his bowling performances and claimed that Pandya would easily fit in any side and would be an important part of the team if he is able to bowl. “By the way, Hardik Pandya is gold for any team once he’s fit to bowl,” Bishop wrote.
