South African cricketer Faf du Plessis was announced as Virat Kohli’s successor as RCB’s new captain on March 12. He went into quarantine on Monday, but has made it clear that he is going to spend his time wisely, chalking out plans and strategies for the upcoming season.

On being asked about his plans for the quarantine period, du Plessis said “A bit of training in the room. It’s always important to make sure you stay active, because your body is not meant to just lie on a bed for three days and then stay in touch with people like, arrange a few things that always take a bit of time.”

“We just arrived. Day one of the RCB season officially. So, a long travel day but we have got three days of quarantine and then the season will be off and running. We are extremely excited, over the next couple of days, the guys will start coming in, so we look forward to seeing everyone’s faces at the first practice,” he further added.

Bangalore will kickstart their 2022 IPL campaign with a game against Punjab Kings on March 27.
