IPL 2022 – CSK Moeen Ali VISA Issue: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has another problem at their hands. After uncertainty around Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad’s availability for IPL, CSK is now facing a issue with Moeen Ali’s India arrival. “He had applied for his visa on February 28. It has been more than 20 days since the application was submitted. He has been a frequent traveller to India and yet he has not got the travel papers. CSK Moeen Ali VISA IssueCSK vs KKR LIVE: Moeen was retained by CSK for Rs 8 crore this season. But even after 20 days of applying for VISAS, he is yet to receive a travel clearance from the Indian Commission in the UK. Moeen already has missed entire duration of CSK camp in Surat.

CSK have now sought BCCI’s help in this regard, as the 34-year-old risks missing game time when the season begins next weekend CSK is training for the season but Moeen is the only absentee, despite the 34-year-old having submitted his travel documents weeks in advance.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said, “He had applied for his visa on February 28. It has been more than 20 days since the application was submitted. He has been a frequent traveller to India and yet he has not got the travel papers. We are hoping he will join the team soon.”

“Even the BCCI has got itself involved to help us. We are hoping that he will get the papers by Monday. He has told us that he will take the very next flight after getting the papers,” he added.

Why Moeen can win opening match? CSK vs KKR LIVE: Should Moeen be cleared to travel by Monday, the English all-rounder will have to quarantine on arrival for up to 3 days, with regular COVID-19 testing during his isolation. He should return to the training ground by Friday, and depending on his fitness, should feature in the first match on the opening day of IPL 2022, on March 26, against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede.
