The BCCI is concerned with players’ bio-bubble integrity amid fan presence at the stadiums.

In Bengaluru Test, four fans invaded the pitch to take selfies with Virat Kohli without wearing any mask. It was a massive security and health & safety protocol breach. The BCCI isn’t taking that lightly.

We will speak to the Maharashtra government and ask for additional security for the matches so that it doesn’t happen again. One such incident can jeopardise the entire tournament due to Covid,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.
