“Mahi is in Chennai for the auction discussions. He is likely to be present for the auction. But it is his call and a call will be made close to the auction,” a CSK team management member told InsideSport.

Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul recently himself revealed that he is having long chats with team mentor Gautam Gambhir on the Auction plans.
“I am regularly in touch with Gautam. We speak almost everyday. We are sure on what we will look at the auction. Sir (Sanjeev Goenka, Promoter Lucknow IPL Team) has given us his vision & free hand to build the team. We will make sure fans feel proud of the Lucknow team”, declared KL Rahul in a recent interview.

IPL Teams Auction Preparations – Other IPL teams have also completely aligned their COACHING & Management staff to prepare themselves for the IPL Auction.

Royal Challengers Bangalore – Rs 57 crore: RCB retained their former captain, Virat Kohli as the first player for a sum of Rs 15 crore / Glenn Maxwell at a price of Rs 11 crore & Mohammed Siraj was retained for Rs. 7 crore.
Delhi Capitals – Rs 47.5 crore: Delhi Capitals retained 4 players and are left with 47.5 Cr to spend at IPL Auction. Rishabh Pant was retained for staggering Rs 16 crore. Prithvi Shaw for Rs 7.5 crore, Anrich Nortje for Rs 6.5 crore and Axar Patel for Rs 9 crore.
Kolkata Knight Riders – Rs 48 crore: KKR like DC has retained 4 players. The Knights are left with 48 Cr purse. Andre Russell was retained for Rs 12 crore. Venkatesh Iyer for a price of Rs 8 crore, their mystery spinner, Varun Chakravarthy for a price of Rs 8 crore and the West Indian veteran, Sunil Narine for a sum of Rs 6 crore.
Chennai Super Kings – Rs 48 crore: The reigning champions retained four of their star players & will have 48 Cr to spend in Bengaluru. Ravindra Jadeja was retained for 16 crore & his captain MS Dhoni for a price of Rs 12 crore. English all-rounder, Moeen Ali was picked for 8 crore & opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was retained for 6 Cr.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – Rs 68 crore: Sunrisers Hyderabad have retained the seasoned Kane Williamson for a price of Rs 14 crore. Uncapped Abdul Samad and Umran Malik came at a price of Rs 4 crore each. Hence the remaining amount for the Sunrisers will be Rs 68 crore.
Rajasthan Royals – Rs 62 crore: The men in pink settled for skipper Sanju Samson for a staggering Rs 14 crore, English star, Jos Buttler for Rs 10 crore and a young Yashasvi Jaiswal for Rs 4 crore. They will have Rs 62 crores at their disposal when they look forward to the auctions.
Punjab Kings – Rs 72 crore: PBKS will have highest remaining player purse for the IPL Auction with 72 Cr. Mayank Agarwal was retained at a price of Rs 12 crore. Arshdeep Singh was retained at a price of Rs 4 crore.
Mumbai Indians – Rs 48 crore: The 5 times champion retained Rohit Sharma for a price of Rs 16 crore. Besides Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav was retained for 8 crore & Jasprit Bumrah for a price of Rs 12 crore. The West Indian captain Kieron Pollard was retained for Rs 6 crore.
Lucknow Super Giants – 59.8 Cr Remaining Player Purse: KL Rahul (17 Cr), Marcus Stoinis (9.2 Cr) & Ravi Bishnoi (4 Cr)
Ahmedabad IPL Team: 52 Cr REMAIN: Hardik Pandya (15 Cr), Rashid Khan (15 Cr), Shubman Gill (8 Cr)
