Shikhar Dhawan

One of the leading run-getters in IPL history, Shikhar Dhawan has been amongst the runs over the last few seasons, ever since his move to Delhi Capitals from Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, he run-bank at the top of the order finds himself back in the auction pool with the Capitals retaining his partner Prithvi Shaw instead. A seasoned international and an aggressive yet consistent top order, Dhawan could very well have a splash, much like Dinesh Karthik and Yuvraj Singh have witnessed in the past.

Faf du Plessis

The South African has been with Chennai ever since joining the IPL, with a stint at Pune during CSK’s suspension. He missed out on the Orange Cap by just two runs but helped CSK win their fourth IPL title. A stalwart at the top of the order, Faf du Plessis remains one of the finest T20 batters have honed his skills around the world and will be in for a huge hike following his IPL 2021 heroics.

Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo might have retired from international cricket but he remains committed to CSK and their cause in the IPL. The 38-year-old is one of the more clever bowlers at the end, with his variations keeping the batsman guessing at all times. Bravo remains a potent threat with the ball and can still contribute with the bat, and will be among the players who could bag a huge price in the auction.

Yuzvendra Chahal

 

Surprisingly not retained by RCB, Yuzvendra Chahal is likely to hit a market where most teams require a spinner to lead their attack. He bounced back to his very best after a disastrous IPL 2021 Phase 1 and remains one of the best bets to take a wicket in the middle overs.
