History 

The BCCI declared in October 2022 that it would host a women’s franchise cricket tournament in March 2023, with five teams. The Indian Premier League’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru are owned by Diageo, who also purchased the rights to one of the teams. . 

Ben Sawyer was named the team’s head coach in February 2023. On February 13, 2023, the WPL held its first player auction, at which point Royal Challengers Bengaluru signed 18 players to join their team. Smriti Mandhana was named the team’s captain on February 18, 2023. The team placed fourth in the first season.

In the WPL’s first auction, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru paid an incredible INR 1.90 crore to get talented Ghosh. With the bat, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter proves to be a valuable asset, particularly in times of pressure. 

Renuka Singh

Renuka is regarded by many as one of the best fast bowlers in the current age of cricket. Renuka, a speed bowler for India, proved how valuable she is to the team by taking 40 wickets in just 29 white-ball matches in 2022.
