IPL 2021, RCB vs CSK: Virat Kohli’s stunning catch: Arguably, the world’s best batsman, one of the most successful captains and a supreme fielder, Virat Kohli wears many hats. But against Chennai Super Kings, it was Virat Kohli’s supreme athleticism while fielding that stole the limelight. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper’s superb diving catch of Ruturaj Gaikwad stunned everyone including the batsman.
It was so stunning that the third umpire had to come in and take a look but Michael Gough delivered his verdict sending Ruturaj Gaikwad back. The CSK opener, who has been in great form, looked to hammer Yuzvendra Chahal for a four but his intention was undone by Virat Kohli at backward point as he rushed and dived to take the stunner.

Earlier, Virat Kohli scored a half-century while his opening partner hammered 70 off 50 balls as the duo put up a 111-run opening stand against CSK at Sharjah stadium. In the powerplay, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal smashed 55 runs to RCB on top early in the match.
Before this match, RCB have struggled with their opening pair failing to fire in tandem. On Friday, both of them brought up their half-centuries after MS Dhoni put RCB into bat. But despite the duo’s partnership, RCB lost steam and ended up with 156/6 in 20 overs.
