The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is preparing to host the IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE ahead of the T20 World Cup. The governing body has set up a temporary office in Dubai with at least one IPL official, as per a report from Cricbuzz. In the next 48 hours, a joint delegation of the BCCI led by secretary Jay Shah will visit Dubai and coordinate with the UAE government, especially with the Abu Dhabi government which has far more strict COVID-19 protocols. The dates and venues of the IPL 2021 and ICC T20 World Cup are likely to be announced after the end of this visit.
Though the BCCI has not declared the schedule of IPL 2021 Phase 2, the tournament is likely to start from September 17 and the Final will be on October 10, as per a report from insidesport.co
