This is because a number of international players are likely to remain unavailable due to international commitments. As a result, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan players might give IPL 2021 Phase 2 a miss.

Ben Stokes (Rajasthan Royals)

Allrounder Ben Stokes, who is a key player for RR, was ruled out due to a finger injury in IPL 2021 Phase 1. His absence will continue to hurt Sanju Samson-led IPL franchise.

Eoin Morgan (Kolkata Knight Riders)

Since Eoin Morgan is the leader of the England and KKR team, his absence could lead to big trouble for his franchise. The squad lacks players who could step up the role with Dinesh Karthik leaving the top job during IPL 2020.

Kane Williamson (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

SRH team management could be in a fix after removing David Warner from the captaincy role. Their newly-appointed skipper Kane Williamson might also be unavailable for IPL 2021 Phase 2. This is because New Zealand will be playing a 3-match ODI and T20 series against Pakistan in UAE.

Kyle Jamieson (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

RCB’s costliest bowler in the IPL 2021, Kyle Jamieson is also likely to miss the IPL 2021 Phase 2. He had produced decent numbers (9 wickets ) for Virat Kohli-led franchise as the team went on to win 5 out of first 7 matches.

Shakib Al Hasan (Kolkata Knight Riders)

Mustafizur Rahman (Rajasthan Royals)

The Bangladesh lead pacer might opt for national duty at home instead of playing in the IPL. He is a key player in the Rajasthan Royals squad and his absence could further deteriorate RR’s bowling. He took as many as 8 wickets in 7 matches for RR in the first phase of IPL 2021.

Rashid Khan (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

SRH, who are struggling at the bottom of the IPL 2021 Points table, might also miss the services of Afghanistan spin hero.
