IPL 2021: No IPL, No India VS England Test series, Jofra Archer can miss the entire English Summer – Premier English bowler Jofra Archer, who was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right elbow while on a tour of South Africa in 2020, is likely to be ruled out of the IPL 2021 phase 2 and the entire five-match Test series against Team India. Archer was expected to make comeback in England cricket team in the 3rd Test against India but now with the setback in recovery, it is most likely that he will have to go under the knife.

After the injury, Archer just played one game in T20 Blast after which he said that he felt a month away from being fully fit. This comes as a major blow for England as well as the Rajasthan Royals team in IPL.
Big Blow for Rajasthan Royals
Jofra Archer is one of the key overseas players for the Rajasthan Royals. He was expected to make a return in IPL 2021 phase 2 as he missed out on phase 1 due to the injury. In the IPL 2020, he picked up 20 wickets for the Rajasthan based team in UAE. The right-arm pacer was averaging 18.25 and had an excellent economy of 6.55. Now that he is likely to be ruled out of the IPL 2021 phase 2 Rajasthan has a hard job of finding a like for like replacement for him.
Jofra Archer England’s X-Factor
Ever since his debut in 2019, Jofra Archer has become the X-factor for the England team. The swing bowling duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad along with hit the deck hard bowling of Archer makes the England bowling attack very deadly. But as Archer will be missing the entire English Summer. England cricket team will have to find a new bowling combination.(India VS England)
Archer has played 13 Tests in which he has picked 42 wickets at an average of 31.04 with three 5-wickets hauls in it. In England, his perfomance gets better as he has gathered 30 wickets in just 8 matches with an average of 26.86.
