IPL 2021 – Rajasthan Royals Trump Card: RR might be without the services of big players like Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes. But the franchise will still have smiles on their face in IPL 2021 Phase 2. The prime reason behind this is the ongoing form of England striker Liam Livingston.

IPL 2021 – Liam Livingstone: The 28-year-old has been phenomenal in The Hundred. He is the top scorer of the T20 contest, averaging 60.4 at an impressive strike rate of 171.59. He has already slammed as many as 23 sixes in the tournament. The second best is 12 sixes by Moeen Ali which speaks volumes about Livingstone’s recent form with the bat. Besides being the top scorer in The Hundred, Liam Livingstone had impressed in the recently-concluded T20I series against Pakistan. He had also slammed a century against Pakistan that followed a crucial 38 that helped England defeat Pakistan in the shortest format.
IPL 2021 – Rajasthan Royals: The England allrounder had pulled out midway in the IPL 2021 first phase in India due to bubble fatigue after missing a place in the playing XI. But this time around, it is Rajasthan Royals who will be waiting for the arrival of Livingstone to lift them higher in the points table. The Sanju Samson-led franchise will no look to make it to the playoffs in the IPL 2021 Phase 2 and leave behind their dismal performance in the last edition (7th place finish).
The strike rates of all Rajasthan Royals batsmen except Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Shivam Dube, and David Miller have been disappointing. Other batsmen had failed to contribute in the last leg of IPL 2021. If Livingstone can step up to the challenge, RR will definitely seal top 4 place in IPL 2021 ahead of knockouts. RR can also realise their second IPL trophy after a barren run since the inaugural title in 2008.
Livingstone is likely to take the place of fourth overseas player in the Rajasthan Royals playing XI. David Miller is likely to sit out of the playing XI after managing just 102 runs in IPL 2021 Phase 1 in India.
