IPL 2021: Josh Hazelwood available for Chennai Super Kings in second leg of tournament: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are all set to fire in the second leg of IPL 2021 in the UAE as their pacer- Josh Hazelwood is also available for the remaining matches of the tournament in the UAE. This means that CSK are the only franchise which have a full squad in hand for the second phase of the cash-rich league. The Australian pacer missed out on the India based first phase of the tournament.

Josh Hazlewood will return to the Chennai Super Kings squad for the second leg of the IPL 2021, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed to Cricbuzz.

The lanky pacer had pulled off from the tournament in April May citing personal reasons. ‘The best chance to be mentally and physically ready‘ for the busy international season ahead, Hazelwood had earlier said mentioning his unavailability for CSK in the first phase.

Thus in Hazelwood’s absence, the yellow brigade roped in Jason Behrendorff as his replacement. However, the latter didn’t play any matches for the franchisee in the first phase.

Hazelwood had played three matches for CSK in IPL 2020 where he claimed just one wicket. He was highly disciplined with the ball in the UAE as he returned with an economy of 6.40.
