IPL 2021: CSK’s Suresh Raina aims to ace fitness ahead of joining camp in UAE: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batting mainstay Suresh Raina is gearing up for the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 which will resume on September 19 in Dubai. Ahead of the first clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI), Raina is working on his overall fitness so as to be able to put forth the best in the remainder of the tournament.

In his recent Instagram post, Raina captioned, “Perfect day for an outdoor run, followed by stretching #nature #running #reels #believe.

The shot clip showed the left handed batsman undertaking a quick running drill along with his two acquintances. The intense warm up was mellowed down with some walking which was then followed by some stretching sessions.

The 34-year-old featured for the yellow brigade in Phase 1 of IPL 2021 and played seven matches. In his seven outings, he amalgamated a total of 123 runs and returned with an average of 24.60.

CSK’s preparations for IPL 2021 Phase 2

The resumption of the second leg of the tournament will see the clash of MI and CSK on September 19. CSK finished second on the points table while MI rested on the fourth position when IPL 2021 was abruptly called off.

MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings will leave for the Gulf country on August 13 as per the information with InsideSport.

The date of the departure has not been finalised yet but we are planning to send the team by 13th or 14th of August. CSK will be flying to Dubai and will start our training from there,” CEO Kasi Vishwanathan told InsideSport.co exclusively.
