IPL 2021: Costliest IPL player joins Rajasthan Royals, will he prove his worth at IPL in UAE?
Rajasthan Royals revealed that Chris Morris will be arriving in UAE from Johannesburg and is likely to join up with the squad straight away. The South African opted out of the ongoing CPL 2021, where he features for Rajasthan Royals’ owned Barbados franchise. The break should have Morris fit and fresh for the rigours of the upcoming IPL 2021 Phase 2, as the Royals aim to make it to the playoffs this time around.
Chris Morris will return to cricketing action in the IPL 2021 Phase 2 when he suits up for the Royals. The South African will be a key part of the franchise’s plans, especially after the withdrawal of England trio Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer from the tournament. Morris was bought for a whopping 16.25 crore, making him the costliest buy ever in IPL auction history.
