Shakib Al Hasan has remained an integral part of whichever team he plays for. He made his comeback recently against the ongoing series against West Indies after serving a ban of 1 year from ICC for not reporting a corrupt approach during the IPL 2019. Touted as one of the best all-rounders of all time, he provides the necessary balance in the middle order as he can bowl 3-4 overs and score quickfire runs down the order. He was previously a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. Shakib has 749 runs and 59 wickets in 63 IPL matches so far.
It was a bidding war between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders but the latter were able to retain his services.
