IPL 2021: 3 big reasons why MS Dhoni’s CSK can win IPL 2021 title: The second most successful team of IPL- Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is leaving no stone unturned to clinch its fourth IPL title by attracting the glittering IPL 2021 trophy. The yellow brigade will enter in the second leg of the tournament with some extra confidence as they sit second on the points table currently- having won five of the seven matches they played in the first phase in India.
Here at InsideSport, we analyze 3 big reasons that show that MS Dhoni’s CSK can lift the IPL 2021 title.
MS Dhoni back in form
CSK skipper MS Dhoni- who had an offshore performance in the recent seasons- low scores crippled with poor strike rate is seen rusting off his poor form. During CSK’s ongoing practice sessions at the ICC Academy in Dubai, the senior player has regained his blazing form and was seen smashing the big hits.
The site of MS Dhoni back in the form has not just given fans the hope of CSK winning the title but also would share the batting responsibility that fell solely on Ravindra Jadeja.
Deepak Chahar in allrounder avatar
CSK pacer bowler has shown some different colours and has emerged as a promising allrounder. With fine bowling skills already in his kitty, the batsman has massively scaled his batting skills- a testimony to which was seen during the second ODI against Sri Lanka overseas where the Indian player smashed 69 off 82 balls. Besides, he was spotted sweating hard with the bat during CSK’s net sessions.
Thus, from his current batting position- 11th in the CSK team, he could be promoted as he has honed his batting skills. His emergence as an allrounder is a boon for CSK and could up their chances of winning the tournament.
Early headstart & advantage of familiar conditions
CSK, who have the first contest of the second phase of IPL 2021 in UAE against Mumbai Indians, arrived on August 13 and started training for the tournament on August 19. With their first match on September 19 against Mumbai Indians in Dubai, the yellow brigade have got a massive month’s time to acclimatize themssves to the UAE conditions.
Thus, this headstart for the second leg of the tournament could escalate their chances of winning th 14th edition of the tournament.
