Indonesia Masters 2022 Draws: After a two-week break, badminton action resumes with the Indonesia Masters, which is all set to kickstart on 7th June. India’s star shuttler PV Sindhu has received an easy draw besides youngster Laskhya Sen. However, Saina Nehwal, HS Prannoy and P Kashyap have pulled out of the BWF Super 500 tournament. Men’s draw
Men’s Singles
World No.9 Lakshya Sen leads the men’s draw from the Indian side as he has been seeded seventh in the tournament. Lakshya will begin the campaign by facing Denmark’s Hans-Kristian Vittinghus in the first round. He is then likely to face Denmark’s Rasmus Gemke.
Sameer Verma is the other Indian in the men’s singles. He will face a qualifier in the first round.
Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth will also not be in action at the Indonesia Masters as he is recovering from a niggle.
Men’s Doubles
In men’s doubles India will have the only representation from the unseeded Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy. World No 8 pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and also the Thomas Cup winning Dhruv Kapila and MR Arjun, as well as Krishnaprasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Panjala, have opted not to feature in this tournament.
Attri-Reddy duo will face Indonesia’s Pramudya Kusumawardana and Yeremia Rambitan. If they win the first match, they are likely to face fifth seeded pair from Indonesia Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Women’s draw
Women’s Singles: Sindhu leads India’s charge
PV Sindhu is India’s only medal hope in Indonesia. After bowing out from the semifinals at Thailand Open, PV Sindhu returns to action in the Indonesia Masters. She enters the tournament as the fourth seed. She will face Denmark’s Line Christophersen in the first round.
The other top seed in her quarter is fifth seed Ratchanok Intanon and they are likely to meet in the quarterfinals.

Doubles draw
In women’s doubles, Ashwini Ponnappa and Sikki Reddy will be in action after they missed out on the Uber Cup and Thailand Open as Sikki suffered an injury. The unseeded pair will face Brazil’s Lima sisters in the first round. In the second round, they are likely to set up clash with China’s top-seeded pair Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan.
Simran Singhi and Rithika Thaker are India’s second women’s doubles partners. They begin their campaign by facing second seeded Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan in the first round.
Mixed Doubles
India’s mixed doubles pair Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto will kickstart their campaign against Indonesia’s fourth seed Praveen Jordan and Melati Oktavianti. They are the only pair to represent India in the mixed doubles.
