Sunil Chhetri, captain of the Indian football team, has quite subtly revealed the arrival of his kid in a beautiful moment. On September 11th, the Indian Skipper and his wife welcomed their first child. While there has been no official announcement from the captain, it appears that the great news has been announced pretty gently.
Wishing his father on his birthday, Suni Chhetri took to Instagram to write a heartfelt note for his father.
“Happy Birthday Senior! My strongest pillar, guide, strength and pride.” Sunil Chhetri wrote. However he added, ” Even if I can be half the father that you are to me, I’d have done well with my son. ” subtly hinting at the arrival of his son.
Saheb Bhattacharya, the son of football icon Subrata Bhattacharya, routinely publishes updates about Sunil and Sonam on social media. He also happens to be Sunil’s brother-in-law. Surprisingly, Saheb has chosen not to make any social media updates about the couple’s son’s birth. As of now, the son’s name is unknown.
Without Captain Sunil Chhetri, the Indian football Team flew to Thailand for the King’s Cup. Coach Igor Stimca had already offered the captain time off to spend with family. However, misfortune struck, as the Blue Tigers returned emoty handed from Thailand. India was eliminated from the competition after two consecutive losses to Iraq and Lebanon.
