Malhotra, Jatin Paranjpe, and Sulakshana Naik, the committee’s members, have been requested to attend a formal introduction with the office holders and a discussion on the selection process’ future at the BCCI headquarters.

BCCI will announce the new panel of selectors by next week. The outgoing selectors Chetan Sharma and Harvinder Singh have reapplied.

Once the dates are set, the CAC is anticipated to physically hold the interviews, unlike last time.

The new chairman of selectors will receive a pay package of Rs. 1.25 crore, while the other four members will receive Rs. 1 crore. However, the Indian board has had trouble luring well-known figures.

The only well-known applicant is Venkatesh Prasad, a former Indian pacer. He might succeed as the current head of selectors as he has more Test experience. The team for the New Zealand series will be chosen by the new selection committee.

The front-runner to become the new chairman of the BCCI Selection Committee is former India bowler Venkatesh Prasad.

Prasad is the most accomplished cricketer to apply for the position, according to BCCI officials. He will probably shortly be announced as the new chairman. InsideSport was also informed by the sources that the BCCI is seeking a T20 specialist to serve as one of the selectors on the NEW COMMITTEE.

Prasad, 53, has participated in 161 ODIs and 33 Test matches for India. He is the most seasoned cricketer to apply for a new selector position, having taken 290 international wickets.
