Team India recently announced its World Cup slated to start from October this year. The selection committee has announced a balanced squad for the marquee event with all three bases covered. Speaking about the players who represent a certain franchise in IPL and have been selected in the Indian squad, Mumbai Indians have dominated the lobby with four players. On the other hand, none of the Indian players representing Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad have made the cut to the Indian team.
Mumbai Indians (Four Players)
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma alongside Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, and Jasprit Bumrah will be playing in the upcoming World Cup event. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj has the ability to bowl with pace and accuracy makes him a potent weapon in the bowling department. Both RCB players are expected to play a crucial role in India’s campaign in World Cup.
Kolkata Knight Riders (Two Players)
KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer recently returned to the Indian side and will be playing a crucial role for the Men in Blue in the middle order department. On the other hand, Shardul Thakur might be a back up for Pandya but can also get games if Rohit decides to add some strength in the lower order.
Delhi Capitals (Two Players)
The two tweakers from Delhi Capitals will be taking care of the spin department. Kuldeep Yadav has been in impressive touch with the ball as he showed in the IPL and during the recent tour of West Indies. On the other hand, Axar Patel has not got much of a game time and might be going as a back up for Ravindra Jadeja.

As mentioned above, Jadeja might be India’s front running all-rounder in the starting XI. KL Rahul recently joined the Indian squad for the ongoing Asia Cup. The wicketkeeper-batter might have to wait for his chances to get a game with Kishan doing so well. However, Rahul has been a solid number 5 for India in the 50-over format. The right-handed batter will hold a great value to the Indian side in the upcoming marquee event.
