India Women Cricket Schedule: ICC Women FTP: In the first-ever women’s Future Tours Programme, Team India have secured 5-match T20 series against Australia at home in December this year. It will be followed by a tri-nation series involving South Africa and West Indies in South Africa. Furthermore, India will also play two test matches in 2024 at home against England and Australia.

  • The Indian women’s team will play as many as 65 international games in the inaugural Future Tours & Programmes (FTP)
  • ICC FTP three year-cycle is between May 2022 to April, 2025.
  • The ICC on Tuesday announced the the structured calender that includes a total of 301 matches (seven Tests, 135 ODIs and 159 T20Is) over a period of three years.
  • India’s share of matches will be two Tests against England and Australia along with 27 ODIs and 36 T20 Internationals during the said duration.
  • Since the FTP has started from May, 2022, India have already played 3 WODIs and 3 WT20Is against Sri Lanka.
  • As per the list, India hosts New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies and Ireland at home, the away series are against Australia, England, Sri Lanka (already played) an d Bangladesh

ICC Women FTP Highlights:

  • Fixtures confirmed for 2022-25 ICC Women’s Championship
  • Similar to ICC Men’s ODI Super League, women teams will play bilateral ODI series before the 2025 World Cup.
  • In total, 7 Tests, 135 ODIs and 159 T20s will be played leading up to 2025 World Cup.
  • The new FTP also ensures more Test match cricket between countries
  • A standalone women’s only Ashes series between Australia and England in 2025
  • Team India will play just two Test matches during this period.

ICC General Manager of Cricket, Wasim Khan, said the confirmation of the first ever women’s FTP was a watershed moment for women’s cricket.

“This is a huge moment for the women’s game,” Khan said. “This FTP not only lends certainty to future cricket tours but also sets the base for a structure that is sure to grow in the coming years.”

In total there will be over 300 international women’s games played during the next period, which features a total of seven Test matches, 135 ODIs and 159 T20Is.

Teams will play three-match bilateral ODI series as part of the 2022-25 ICC Women’s Championships, ahead of the next women’s 50-over World Cup in India in 2025.

Many of those three-game ODI series are accompanied by corresponding T20I series, with some teams opting to play five-game T20I series alongside the ICC Women’s Championships fixtures.

All bilateral T20I matches count towards respective team rankings, which in turn serves as a primary mechanism for determining the teams that qualify for ICC global events.

One of the highlights of the women’s calendar is England’s next trip to Australia for the multi-format Ashes series. It will be a standalone series at the start of 2025, with the corresponding men’s series coming later that year.

Just last month the ICC confirmed the host country for every women’s white-ball tournament to be played up until 2027, with the latest fixtures confirmed by the FTP all featuring around those major ICC events.

  • September / October 2024 – Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh
  • September / October 2025 – Women’s Cricket World Cup in India

  • February 2027 – Women’s T20 Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka
