India Win U19 World Cup: Dinesh Bana does an MS Dhoni – There was an uncanny resemblance between MS Dhoni and Dinesh Bana. The legendary Indian captain scored the winning runs in 2011 World Cup with a six and Bana, another wicketkeeper-batsman repeated the feat, hitting six to score the winning runs in the U19 World Cup on Saturday.
Yash Dhull & Co beat England by 4 wickets to lift a record 5th U19 World Cup trophy. Although Dinesh Bana did not score 91 to lead India to victory, he came at a situation when India lost quick wickets. But he lifted the pressure off with a six and followed it with another off a James Sales delivery to hit the winnings runs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

In 2011 World Cup final, MS Dhoni, a wicketkeeper-batsman hit the winning runs off a Nuwan Kulasekara delivery to help India lift their second World Cup trophy at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Yash Dhull became the third captain from Delhi to lift the U19 World Cup title after Kohli and Chand. On Sunday, in the final, India rode on Raj Bawa fifer and half-centuries from Shaik Rasheed & Nishant Sandhu to best England by 4 wickets in Antigua.

The stage was set by Raj Bawa and Ravi Kumar’s excellent bowling performance. Raj Bawa became the only Indian cricketer to bag a five-wicket haul in an ICC tournament final while Ravi Kumar impressed with 4/34 as India dismissed England for 189. With the bat too, the Bengal player put up an impressive show, scoring a much-needed 35.
In the chase, Shaik Rasheed and Nishant Sandhu smashed a half-century each while Raj Bawa scored 35 to win the match by 4 wickets in 44.5 overs.
