“It was quite challenging after the first game but I think there are always good opportunities and learning from games like these to the youngsters. It gives them exposure to international cricket. It seems like a 130-140 game, so it is important to find a way it’s quite important. So how do we do that, learning how to do that. He further added that the COVID-19 cases coupled with quarantine posed a lot of challenges during the series which saw the series getting postponed. He credited the boys for their spirit, enthusiasm, and hard work.
“I must admit it’s not been easy. We have played only 6 matches in 45 days for a variety of reasons. It’s not easy, the boys have been in quarantines, bubbles. We’ve only seen the hotels, the grounds. It’s certainly challenging and credit to the boys the way they maintained their spirit, enthusiasm and worked really hard. I can’t fault them for their energy and effort. It was not an easy situation to be in,” he added.
