IND vs ENG Live: Why Covid scare loom large on Indian team before 5th Test?
- The Covid-19 pandemic is still raging with the UK reporting over 10,000 new cases every day.
- Despite advisory to players on avoiding crowded places, they have been seen mingling with fans without any mask.
- Although all the players are fully vaccinated, a Covid-19 positive result will put the player in 5-day isolation and that could rule him out of the Edgbaston Test.
- Kohli had also tested COVId-19 positive upon arriving in London last week
- Last time, Team India refused to field the team after a Covid-19 outbreak in Indian camp following Ravi Shastri’s book launch party in London.
- The 5th Test has now been rescheduled to be played from July 1.
