Rohit Sharma and Co have been drawn in Group B at the T20 World Cup in Australia. The Men in Blue kick off their campaign facing arch-rivals Pakistan at other iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 23. Tickets for the same have already been sold out months in advance. The two teams have tussled in every edition since 2012, with Babar Azam and Co clinching their first win last year by 10 wickets. Rohit and Co will aim for revenge at MCG in what will be a sea of blue.
India will then travel to Sydney where they will feature against the Runner up in Group A from the first round. The group A features Namibia, Sri Lanka, UAE and Netherlands and the team finishing second amongst them will make it to India’s group. India faced Namibia in the 2021 edition, sealing a comfortable consolation win.

The next game is likely to decide India’s fate in the competition when they travel to the Optus Stadium in Perth. The Indians will there meet South Africa in what is expected to be a blockbuster clash. With only teams set to make it to the final four, expect this one to be a campaign-defining match.
India then travel to Adelaide where dark horses Bangladesh await them, before making a return to Melbourne for the final game of their group stage. Rohit Sharma and Co will face the winners of Group B – Ireland, Scotland, West Indies and Zimbabwe. None of the teams were part of India’s 2021 campaign but the 2007 World T20 Champions will fancy their chances this time around.
