India T20 WC SquadIs Virat Kohli on his way out?  Starting today, India plays England in 3 Match T20 Series. For one of the biggest name of Indian Cricket Virat Kohli, this series is likely to be his LAST-CHANCE to get his groove again. InsideSport spoke to few BCCI officials and selectors who were of the view that Kohli can’t be given any longer rope to get back his form. BCCI is extremely worried and the message for Kohli is clear ‘Perform or Perish’: Follow IND ENG 1ST T20 LIVE Updates with InsideSport.IN

“He has been a great servant of the Indian cricket. Without doubt one of the best. But his struggle for form and runs is now alarming. Selectors need to select people on form not on reputation. I am no authority but he needs to get his groove back soon. Perform or Perish has to be a way forward on him. I guess selectors will look for options before the T20 World Cup if he don’t get runs in England”, said one of the top BCCI official to InsideSport.

The T20 World Cup is schedule for October. BCCI and the selectors are now in no mood to take more chances with Kohli. According to a separate report by TOI, for Kohli England series is very crucial. It is worth noting that along with other test regulars, Virat is not playing the 1st T20. This means he will only have two more chances to prove his credentials again.

According to the report, selectors have deliberately not named the T20 Squad for the West Indies. The same will be named only after gauging Kohli and the performance of other players in the squad.

The report quoting sources has further claimed that the Indian team management and selectors are not clear about fitting Kohli in the T20I middle-order.

“The T20I team has been withheld to evaluate the rest needed to be given to the top players. Rohit, Pant and Pandya are likely to play the T20Is in West Indies. Bumrah most likely will not be travelling to the Caribbean. As for Kohli, one needs to see what the team management decides on what it needs for the T20 World Cup. This limited-overs series in England is very crucial for Kohli,” a source TOI on Wednesday.
