India T20 WC Squad: BCCI monitor fitness of Hardik, Arshdeep and Bhuvneshwar: Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa. This decision by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) came to light after the country’s apex cricketing body announced the squads for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, Australia & South Africa T20Is. BCCI on Monday in a statement said: “Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa.”

Arshdeep Singh who is part of the WC squad will miss out on the series against Australia. While Hardik Pandya and Bhuneshwar Kumar who are also part of Men in Blue for the showpiece event in October will not feature in the series against South Africa.

On September 20, 23, and 25, three T20Is will be played between India and Australia in Mohali, Nagpur, and Hyderabad. Then, on September 28, October 2, and October 4 in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and Indore, respectively. Meanwhile, South Africa will play three games in the shortest format against the Men in Blue. The Proteas will also play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in India. India’s T20 World Cup-bound players are not likely to participate in the 50-over matches.

Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

Standby players – Mohd. Shami, Shreyas Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar.
