India Playing XI 3rd ODI: India makes one change, brings on Prasidh Krishna for Avesh Khan : Follow India vs WestIndies Live UpdatesIn all this change, it is Arshdeep Singh, who might count himself unlucky. the left-arm pacers was wonderful in the IPL, helping him get into the Indian team. Barring one game in the T20, he has not featured in the ODI side even once.
Why was Prasidh picked ahead of Avesh Khan
- Prasidh is an experienced campaigner
- Prasidh can bring in his experience when under pressure
- The team management is also looking at him as a potential player for the ODI World Cup next year
- Avesh had an off game in the last ODI, conceding 54 runs without taking a wicket
- Arshdeep Singh must be feeling unlucky in all these with the player not playing a single game in the ODI series
They had the option of resting Mohammed Siraj for the big game. That would have meant an inexperienced line up comprising Shardul Thakur, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan. The team managament were in no mood to take this game lightly.

In the batting department, they did not make any changes. Ishan Kishan, who was left out of the squad for the first two games, might have been eyeing a good game in the third ODI. But once again, the management wanted to stick with Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan.
Even if the management wanted to rest Surykumar Yadav, they could have done that and tried to get Kishan into action.
India (Playing XI): Shikhar Dhawan (c), Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson (wk), Deepak Hooda, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna
