Bangladesh needed 261 to get on day four with seven wickets. Shadman Islam only offered some fight with a gritty 93. The rest of the Bangladesh batters could not score much as they were shot for 187. Apart from Kumar, Navdeep Saini picked up two wickets.
On Day 3, in reply to home team’s 252, the visitors declared their innings on 562/9. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran led from the front with his brilliant 157 before he was removed early on the penultimate day. Navdeep Saini, Jayant Yadava, and Saurab Kumar also smashed 50s at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Earlier on Day 2 Cheteshwar Pujara and KS Bharat chipped in with the 50s.
On DAY-1 Mukhesh Kumar bagged a six-wicket haul to bowl Bangladesh out for 252. Despite a brilliant 139-run stand between Shahadat Hossain and Jaker Ali Anik, Bangladesh collapsed. Apart from Mukesh, Umesh Yadav and Jayant Yadav bagged two wickets apiece.

Day 1 Summary: Sent to bat, Bangladesh A struggled from the get-go. Umesh Yadav struck in the 3rd over to dismiss Shadman Islam. Just when Zakir Hasan and Mahmudul Hasan Joy were stitching a good partnership, Mukesh Kumar struck. He dismissed Mahmudul. Another short stand later Monimul and Mohammad Mithun and Zakir Hasan departed in quick succession. Mukesh Kumar picked up Mahmudul and Zakir and Mithun to deal a big blow.
Bangladesh A reeling at 84/5 fought back. Shahadat Hossain and Jaker Ali then steadied the ship with a 136-run stand. Shahadat scored 80 before Umesh Yadav broke the stand. But his wicket once against triggered a collapse. Mukesh Kumar dismissed Jaker Ali to send another set batter back.
From 223/5, Bangladesh A lost the last five wickets 29 runs. Barring a 12-ball 21-run blitz by Ashiqur Zaman, there was no response. In the end, Bangladesh A folded for 252.
India ended the day after batting for just 4 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 8 while Abhimanyu Easwaran scored unbeaten 3 as India ended Day 1 at 11/0.
