Women’s Asia Cup 2022 LIVE – In their last match, a new opening pair began the proceedings for India after winning the toss and electing to bat first. The team was in a bit of trouble after losing three early wickets within the powerplay but thereafter it was a brilliant match-winning 128-run stand between Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma that demoralised the UAE bowling attack.
Deepti made 64 off 49 balls while Jemimah remained unbeaten with 75 of just 45 balls. A total of 178 for UAE was always going to be difficult to chase down. UAE lost 3 wickets with just 5 runs on board and could not find its way back into the game. India eventually won the game convincingly by 104 runs and will now face Pakistan in their Asia Cup encounter.
.@JemiRodrigues scored a superb 7⃣5⃣* & bagged the Player of the Match award as #TeamIndia beat UAE. 👏 👏 #AsiaCup2022 | #INDvUAE
