“I would ask him to go to Sachin Tendulkar. If it was me, I would ask him to be patient. The quality is always there. His feet are moving, his head position is fine. There is nothing wrong with his technique. It’s just his luck. Today, it was another unlucky dismissal because the first mistake he is making is where he is going out. Sometimes, you will need a little bit of luck,” Gavaskar told during commentary with Star Sports.

- Virat Kohli was below-par as he recorded scores of 8, 18 & DUCK. He looked to be in a rush in all three innings against West Indies.
- He should reach out to Sachin Tendulkar who overcame his form in 2004 and did not play his favourite cover drive to smash a double ton against Australia at the SCG.
- Besides Tendulkar, a good talk with head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit might just be the need of the hour for Virat Kohli ahead of the T20 series.
- His career graph (average) has stooped to the lowest since he began his journey in ODI cricket.
