IND vs WI Live: Ravi Bishnoi angers Yuzvendra Chahal – For any cricketer, the nerves on debut definitely won’t be as strong as a veteran and Ravi Bishnoi was no different. It was in the 7th over that Nicholas Pooran tried to hammer Yuzvendra Chahal over the long-off. But, he failed to connect it properly, giving away a catch with the fielder Ravi Bishnoi all set for a comfortable catch. Bishnoi, who has been known as an excellent catcher, did well to take the catch but he made a BIG MISTAKE — he stepped on the boundary rope. Instead of a catch, Pooran got a six.

Yuzvendra Chahal was visibly frustrated with such a “childish” mistake. Just an hour before that, Chahal handed over the India cap to his 21-year-old colleague. However, Chahal got his revenge in the same over when he trapped Kyle Mayers leg before for his 65th T20I wicket, closing the gap to Jasprit Bumrah for India’s top wicket-taker in T20Is.

Earlier, the former India U-19 star leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was handed T20I debut as Rohit Sharma continued to experiment with the side ahead of the T20 World Cup. Nurtured by Anil Kumble at Punjab Kings, Bishnoi impressed with his accuracy and speed in the IPL.
Ravi Bishnoi was on the selectors’ radar after an impressive IPL 2021 with Punjab Kings. In 9 matches last year, Bishnoi bagged 12 wickets with an impressive economy rate of 6.39.
After the disastrous South Africa tour, the team management decided to turn to wrist-spin option once again and Rahul Chahar’s injury meant, Ravi Bishnoi was the man for the job. He was fast-tracked to Team India and was handed over the cap by fellow leggie Yuzvendra Chahal before a pat on the back by former India captain Virat Kohli.
