IND vs WI Live: Kuldeep Yadav hints at BIG COMEBACK – After five months out of any cricket, Kuldeep Yadav has hinted at a big comeback in the 2nd ODI against West Indies on Wednesday. Once a go-to man for India, Kuldeep slowly fell out of favours struggling with form. But after R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja’s injuries, he was recalled. Kuldeep Yadav spent the last five months in and out of NCA after undergoing surgery on his knee. With no Ranji Trophy, the left-arm wrist-spinner played no competitive matches during these five months. But the selectors decided to give him a call back. After missing out on the first ODI, Kuldeep may finally make a comeback to ODIs after almost 7 months.

On Wednesday, he shared images from India’s practice session, hinting at a possible comeback. “Final touches before the big game,” Kuldeep Yadav wrote on Twitter.

Kuldeep Yadav last played in the ODIs back in July 2021 against Sri Lanka. While he did decently, he didn’t get a game in IPL 2021 due to an injury in practice. But the rollercoaster ride might be over as the team management has hinted at going back to KulCha option.

“They are going to be crucial going forward. These two guys have been great performers for us in the past, they’ve certainly created an impact in those years whenever they’ve played together. In the middle why they have been left out was because of combination,” Rohit Sharma said ahead of the 1st ODI.

“We wanted to get an extra batter in, at times we wanted to get an extra seamer in, so that is probably why one of the two have missed out, but it’s certainly on my mind to get them back together, Kuldeep especially.”

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Kuldeep Yadav put in the extra yards, hoping to get his place back beside Yuzvendra Chahal, who put in a Man of the Match performance with four wickets. Head coach Rahul Dravid also had a special session with him with the bat before wrapping up the training session. With the Ahmedabad pitch offering assistance to spinners, it could also be the stage for a comeback for Kuldeep Yadav.

However, if he is to make a comeback, India will need to drop either Deepak Hooda or Shardul Thakur from the Playing XI. That would be difficult considering the series is not yet sealed.
