Ind VS SL: Manish Pandey misses another golden opportunity, ‘Good start – Bad End’ script continues – Team India middle-order batsman Manish Pandey was run-out by Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka in the second ODI of the three-match series here at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Tuesday. With 37 runs in 31 balls with the help of three fours, Pandey was looking in good touch and was playing an important knock before getting dismissed. This is the second time in the series that Pandey has failed to take India through. (IND vs SL 2nd ODI)
Ind VS SL: Suryakymar Yadav played a straight drive that hit the stumps at the bowling end. The Sri Lankan skipper manages a touch (palm) on his dive and Manish Pandey was nowhere in the frame. Pandey was backing up a little too far and was perhaps thinking about a quick single. The third umpire declared him out.
Ind VS SL: In the first ODI as well Pandey could not help India cross the line as he was sent back by Dhananjaya de Silva on 26 in 40 balls. However, India won the game comfortably captain Dhawan and Ishan Kishan playing superb knocks.
Ind VS SL: Pandey has played 28 ODIs in which he has scored 555 runs at an average of 34.68. He made his debut in the ODI team way back in 2015 but has failed to keep himself in the side. This is probably his last chance to seal the place in Team India for the ICC T20 World Cup slated later this year. Now it will be interesting to see how he performs in the rest of the series.
