Mohammed Siraj's six-fer and Hardik Pandya's 3/3 sent Sri Lanka packing for 50 runs in the Asia Cup Final. Gill and Kishan completed an easy chase with the bat.

Team India completed a dominating win over the home team Sri Lanka to be crowned as Asia Cup champs. Chasing a total of 51 runs, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill completed an easy chase withing first seven overs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka collapsed to just 50/10 after a brilliant spell from Mohammed Siraj who completed his five-wicket haul in just 3 overs of his spell. Hardik Pandya also took three wickets while senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah also struck in his first over to remove opener Kusal Perera. Earlier, the home side opted to bat first after winning the toss.

Additionally, India have included all-rounder Washington Sundar in their squad following an injury to Axar Patel during their clash with Bangladesh.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka have encountered a significant setback as their star spinner, Maheesh Theekshana, won’t be available for the upcoming Asia Cup final due to a hamstring injury. Sri Lanka Cricket Selectors have replaced Theekshana with Sahan Arachchige. Theekshana will return to the High-Performance Center to commence rehabilitation work.
