The men in blue are taking on the Lankans in the first of the three-match T20I series at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Hooda has previously been involved with the Indian T20I set-up on two occasions.

He was selected for another such three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka back in December of 2017, but was not given a chance in any of those matches. Three months later, he made it to the squad for the Nidahas Trophy, but once again, was not given a chance to showcase his talent.

- The 26-year-old all-rounder from Baroda has played 141 T20 matches, in which he has scored 2172 runs and has picked up 17 wickets.
