Suryakumar Yadav Ruled Out: Surya was spotted at India’s practice session in Lucknow on Tuesday. In the pics released by BCCI of India’s practice session, Surya was seen at the ground talking to Ravindra Jadeja. 

The 31-year-old batsman has suffered a hairline fracture on his hand and been declared unfit for the white-ball series.

Sources told InsideSport that he experienced pain and investigations revealed the injury. He will have to rest for at least three weeks.

Suryakumar Yadav Ruled OutHow Surya got injured? Suryakumar also known as SKY scored 31 ball 65 against the West Indies in 3rd T20 international on Sunday. According to the report, Suryakumar sustained the injury while fielding

in the same game at the Eden on February 20.

 

But in the pics released by the BCCI, neither he has any bandage on his hand nor he looks in any kind of discomfort.

Suryakumar, was adjudged Player of the Series against the West Indies & he is the second Indian player to be out of the Sri Lanka T20Is.

It is worth noting that India is already resting some of the key players like Virat Kohli & Rishabh Pant for the series. KL Rahul is also not part of the squad as he is recovering from his injury.

IND vs SL series: Deepak Chahar ruled out of T20 Series vs Sri Lanka…

Deepak Chahar also out of T20 Series: InsideSport had earlier reported on Monday that young India & CSK all rounder Deepak Chahar also has been ruled out of the 3 match series against Lankan team. 

Chahar picked a HAMSTRING injury & hasn’t travelled with the team to Lucknow. According to news coming in from the Indian camp, Chahar’s injury will take sometime to heal & he is likely to be out of action for minimum 3-4 weeks.

Will BCCI name the replacements? The BCCI is unlikely to name any replacements in the squad because of the Covid-19 protocols. The squad now has 16 members without Chahar and Surya.

Meanwhile Jasprit Bumrah is returning after a break. Apart from Bumrah, India also have Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel in the squad.

Other than the fast bowling line-up, Ravindra Jadeja comeback will also bolster the Indian Playing XI. The 1st game of the series will be played on February 24 & the next two T20Is will be played in Dharamsala on February 26 and 27.
