IND vs SL, 1st ODI: Shikhar is 35 years and 220 days old. He is the third oldest overall to make a captaincy debut as Mohammad Hafeez from Pakistan made his captaincy debut at the age of 36 while West Indies’ Floyd Reifer lead the national side for the first time at the age of 37.
