Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar was critical of Rishabh Pant while on commentary. Gavaskar said that the Indian keeper showed a lack of responsibility and slammed him for his shot selection.
“No excuses for Rishabh Pant. It was a forgettable shot and no excuses for him. None of that nonsense about his natural game will work. There is supposed to be a bit of responsibility shown because others are taking the blows. There are guys like Pujara and Rahane who are taking the blows. So, you also fight it out,” Sunil Gavaskar said during commentary.
