IND vs SA LIVE – South Africa Playing XI: South Africa opted to play four fast bowlers vs India on the pacy Perth pitch today. The mega clash against India at the Perth Stadium on October 30 could very well decide 1st of the two semifinalists from Super 12 Group 2. SouthAfrica will be banking on their pace department to deliver the goods. Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Wayne Parnell are already in XI. Adding to the pace department as the 4th pacer is Lungi Ngidi. Follow India vs SouthAfrica LIVE & ICC T20 World Cup 2022 LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

South Africa Playing XI – Ngidi for Tabraiz Shamsi

  • Taking advantage of the bouncy pitch in Perth, South Africa went for the attack and opted to field 4 pacers.
  • Tabraiz Shamsi was very expensive against India in the two series leading into this World Cup. The left-arm legspinner conceded at an economy over 10 each time.
  • With Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Wayne Parnell are already in XI, South Africa had to choose between Jansen and Nigidi.
  • Proteas went for the right-handed pacer Lungi Ngidi for their mega clash against India.
  • Ngidi brings a good variety of cutters and slower balls which can prove to be crucial against India.

South Africa Probable XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, Tristan Stubbs, David Miller, Wayne Parnell, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Lungi Ngidi

India Playing XI vs SA: Axar Patel or Deepak Hooda? 4 left handers in South Africa’s TOP ORDER may make…

Pacer for Tabraiz Shamsi? South Africa trained at Perth Stadium between 09h00 and 12h00 (local time) on Saturday. In that practice session, Marco Jansen was seen in his full strides bowling at maximum pace.

It should be mentioned that during South Africa’s tour of India in June of this year, Marco Jansen made his T20I debut. He bowled four overs and was bowled out for 38 runs after lbw-ing Shreyas Iyer, his first wicket. He has only played in one T20I to far. He has also participated in three ODIs and seven Tests for South Africa.

The speed attack for South Africa will continue to be led by Rabada and Nortje. However, Wayne Parnell is more likely to succeed in Perth. In his two overs against Zimbabwe, the left-arm fast bowler—the first Koplak player to be re-inducted into the South Africa ODI squad in 2021—only leaked six runs.

  • The 4th seam option could be between Marco Jansen or Lungi Ngidi.
  • Although Ngidi brings in his pace, he tends to be more expensive. Jansen has been very effective against India so far.
  • Glenn Maxwell, Sikandar Raza, and Dhananjaya De Silva have all benefited from the Perth pitch.
