Ishan Kishan issued a statement with a stunning assault on the South African attack on Sunday. The Mumbai Indians Star initially took his time before going on a full attack mode to put India on course.
Coming into bat captain Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed early, Kishan relieved the pressure on the Indian batting unit with a stunning counter attack. Playing on his home turf, the Jharkhand born superstar had the crowd on their feet as he raced his way to fifty.

The home crowd gave Kishan a standing ovation as he raised his bat for a fifty. In the company of Shreyas Iyer, he stitched a 161-run partnership to put India in command.

He looked set to score his maiden ODI century, but was dismissed for 93, falling seven short of a well deserved hundred. The 23-year-old smashed 7 sixes in his 84-ball stay at the crease in a clear domination of the South African attack.
Ishan Kishan’s innings comes in at a time after he was dropped from the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup squad. The Mumbai Indians stalwart showcased his hitting range, making a case for a permanent spot in the squad.
