Virat Kohli, playing his 100th T20I, looked like turning a corner on his poor form during India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup on Sunday. The 33-year-old was dropped on just his second ball and made Pakistan pay with a crucial knock in Dubai.
On a two-paced pitch, Kohli looked streaky, to begin with, but soon find his mojo with some delightful shots off his blade. While captain Rohit Sharma struggled at the other end, it was Virat who kept the scoreboard ticking in what will be a huge positive for Team India.
The former captain looked set to reach a half-century but a moment of indecision ended his stay at the crease as he was dismissed for 35. Kohli did end up as the joint top scorer of the innings. The returning Indian stalwart will hope to build on this and get some more runs under his belt in the build-up to the T20 World Cup.

During his innings, Virat Kohli also managed to amass 300 boundaries in his T20I career. The record worth stat came as Kohli struck a delivery by Pakistan’s Shahnawaz Dahani. As Kohli played his 100th T20 match, the accolade served as another cherry on the top as he continued to bat on the third spot alongside Rohit Sharma. Paul Stirling from Ireland leads the tally with 344 boundaries while Rohit Sharma leads from the blue jerseys with 313 fours.
