Batting with a strike rate of 123, Masood’s innings consisted of 5 fours as he and Iftikhar Ahmed took charge of Pakistan’s innings in the high-voltage match against India. Masood’s innings are of great importance not just for his country, but also personally for the batter. Masood was injured on Friday in a freak accident and was hospitalized.

On Friday in the nets practice, Shan Masood was hit on the head by a Mohammad Nawaz shot. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was checked for concussion injuries. The CT scan showcased superficial bruising where the ball hit him on the head. He was rested off on Saturday and then on Sunday he came on to showcase his supremacy with the bat.
