All these happened under the watchful eyes of India batting coach Vikram Rathour and the then stand-in coach VVS Laxman. The latter will return to India on Saturday night with Rahul Dravid recovering from Covid-19. Irrespective of who is at the helm, Pant’s approach is not going to change in the match, nor the nets.
IN fact, not only Pant, the approach of the Indian team at the top has changed a bit in the last 12 months. They start smashing the bowlers from the word go to make use of the field restrictions. The onslaught is started by Rohit Sharma at the top, and the rest of the batters allow follow suit.
