Shan MASOOD’s injury status: Masood has got away with “superficial bruising” after being hit on the head during a practice session ahead of the team’s first match at the T20 World Cup in Australia.
The team got an injury scare as it prepared for the game when a stray shot from Mohammad Nawaz struck Masood on the head and left him lying flat on the ground. He was sent to the hospital for scans.
“All of Shan Masood’s neurological observations are normal. His CT scan only shows superficial bruising where the ball struck him,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement.
“He will be re-tested (Saturday)” for concussion, the PCB added.
IND vs PAK Live: Lot of positives for Pakistan, as Shaheen Shah Afridi is back with a bang – The biggest positive for the Babar Azam-led side has been the return of talismanic pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. In a sensational spell of fast bowling against Afghanistan, the left-arm pacer picked up two wickets in the power play giving away just 4 runs in two overs. Shaheen was swinging the ball in at 145kmph and was at his menacing best.
The lanky bowler sent a big warning to Rohit Sharma & Co ahead of the blockbuster IND vs PAK clash at MCG.
IND vs PAK: Rain could play spoilsport as Australian MET department predicts a 60% chance of rain
Rain threat is increasing by the day on the blockbuster India vs Pakistan clash in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Australian MET department has a grim weather forecast for Sunday (October 23). With nearly 25mm of rain expected on the weekend, signs are not good for fans and broadcasters of the game. With these two only meeting in ICC Tournaments & Asia Cup, the rain update in Melbourne has proven to be a dampener.
